Community Highlights: Meet Ricardo Ayala

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo Ayala.

Ricardo Ayala

Hi Ricardo, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I arrived in NYC at age 20, worked at a few factories, went to the US Army, started school at NYU, transferred to the College of Insurance, and graduated. I opened my first insurance business at age 25 in Jackson Heights Queens.

I also had two other businesses. I moved to Broward County in 1993 and worked in Insurance until 2000. In 2001, we started a real estate business flipping homes, and in 2016, I became a Real estate Agent. Currently, we own a women’s boutique in Weston and I am still flipping homes and I am a Real State Agent.

I also was a professional dancer and played 2nd division soccer.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are always challenges along the way as every emigrant has to face in a new country but, I believe hard work, education, and planning would help overcome most challenges.

The most difficult moment was my first Christmas and New Year, I was 20 alone and had no money in NYC. I spent both nights cold sitting on a corner hydrant crying and drinking some Rum.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Being a Real Estate Agent is not just showing properties, advertising them, or having a webpage. It is also about educating sellers and buyers, explaining step by step, and answering every question, it is about having informed clients and helping them make better decisions when they are ready to sell or buy their new home.

To help customers feel more comfortable with the buying possess I hold a monthly seminar for first-time home buyers and a weekly internet radio spot to address all the news relating to home buying. In summary, my approach as a real estate agent goes beyond the conventional responsibilities.

I strive to be a trusted advisor, providing education, support, and expertise to my clients throughout their real estate journey. By fostering an environment of transparency and open communication, I aim to build long-lasting relationships based on trust and mutual success.
