Today we’d like to introduce you to Micky Khurshid.
Hi Micky, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
DS Luxury started with philanthropic humble beginnings by using custom-designed supercars and visiting sick children in hospitals and orphanages trying to implement motivation and aspirations by dressing up as superheroes and allowing the healthy and terminally ill children to go in a bunch of supercars such as Lamborghinis, Ferraris, BMW, etc. This is now the community outreach program within the company and called The Dream Squad. Hence the D and S in DS Luxury. The new focus on Dream Squad in 2022 will be mental health awareness for all.
DS Luxury’s core business and operations started in Chicago and is the largest exotic car marketplace for memberships, rentals, static displays for production and commercial shoots, and private driver services. We are the country club for super toys. Now going on opening the 2nd location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida just 25 minutes from Miami, Florida we are expanding our operations alongside our 3rd location in Newport Beach, California.
We are pleased to announce that we now are moving into expanding DS Luxury with Aviation services and are in the process of acquiring our own aircraft to disrupt the private jet business the same we did with the luxury and exotic auto industry by solving the biggest problems for everyday consumers with an all-inclusive membership that relieves the client of depreciation costs, maintenance costs, severely inflated market prices, overcall hassle filled process to obtain such assets with low supply and long-delayed waits, and other major costs of ownership associated. DS Luxury is the new era of buying.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Everything you do in the world is challenging. Every successful road comes with obstacles and hurdles to overcome states Micky Khurshid. Founder and President of DS Luxury. Nothing good comes easy. In the beginning it was obtaining such sought after high end vehicles and being so young without the means to do so.
As we grew and got older it was maintaining such vehicles without taking too much loss with all the miles and maintenance/repair costs incurred. As we grew our trust in the industry by proving the test of time in the industry which now is going on 8 years it was rapid growth rate and upholding levels of exceptional service and only the very best top-quality products. It is our goal to only provide the latest technology and versions of the vehicles and assets we provide access to.
Unlike many other car rental type businesses who focus on getting the bottom of the barrel inventory and low optioned editions of these cars, DS Luxury tries to obtain all of its vehicles brand new or very slightly used but nonetheless with all the bells and whistles the vehicle is able to offer.
For example, our 2021 Ferrari SF90 is loaded with carbon fiber upgrades from top to bottom. Our Lamborghini Huracan EVO is one with a special paint job and upgraded racing seats and sports exhaust. It’s in our nature to only give the best to our customers and members base.
In any work you do you must have utmost faith. When you have faith in God you trust that whether it’s a good time or bad time in business you will overcome any struggle and continue on the path that’s been decided for you. Likewise, this is the case. If it was God’s path then it must be smooth right? It’s up for interpretation but we believe it is smooth because even in the downs there are ups.

We want to continue growing as the leading industry provider for exotic and luxury items not limited to sports or luxury cars but moving into private jets, luxury real estate, high-end jewelry, and yachts. If it can be added to our services then we will eventually get to it. It isn’t a matter of if but a matter of when.
We launched our brokerage program in which third party collectors and owners can add their assets within the fleet to earn major revenue and profit which in turn also grows our accessible fleet at a growth that will one day be exponential. With god on our side, the opportunities are endless.
We plan to do this with our global membership program once we open even more locations and we aren’t limited to the United States only but we plan to open up in Monaco, Switzerland, and other parts of the world where our clients frequent. We will disrupt the whole industry and be a household name that is never forgotten for our perseverance in providing access.
Our tagline in 2016 was “Access to luxury has never been easier”. It is now “Where true icons come to play”. We still resonate with the first as much as we focus on the second. So we will continue to fine tune the details to further our success and problem-solve the many issues within the luxury market of exotic goods.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
You have to really believe with conviction that whoever you are looking up to is the right person. That will allow your core intuition and learning to mold towards that mentor so you can be more like what you want to be like. For myself, I believe it is all from above and god so I like to coast and let god decide the plan.
Although we are already currently located at some pretty cool places such as Vertiport Chicago which is a private helicopter airport, Sheltair Aviation in Fort Lauderdale which is a private aviation FBO, and OC Airport in Newport Beach which is also an FBO for private aviation, We are in process of finishing our mobile app which makes it that much easier for consumers and investors to track their reservations, goods and services offered and asset management.
We’ve been working on this for a few years now but we don’t want to put it out until is completely perfect and the presentation is on point to match our luxury level of white glove service.
