Hello Fancy James, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Fancy James was born Jems Cesar from Haiti. Where it all began I have always been a fashionista knowing one day I would become a household name. In 2010 I prayed my way out of the earthquake disaster we experienced. I was so blessed to be heard.
One day, I heard a song on the radio talking about what it meant to be Fancy, it hit me like a ton of bricks that I should call myself Fancy, and so the name Fancy James was born that day. I was determined to break into the fashion world, I landed my first job in Miami by revamping their inventory and proving to them they could sell high-end inventory. I became their favorite until I was discovered by another high-end Boutique to whom I became a top salesperson buyer and manager.
After several years of driving this brand to Mizner Park in Boca Raton, where I made a name for myself. All of the who’s who of Boca Raton and beyond quickly became infatuated with the infectious personality and impeccable eye for style and class. The Fancy James until 3 years ago this month I ventured out on my own and opened The Fancy James Boutique where everything is Fancy.
We are the most sought-after high-end Boutique in Boca Raton Florida My recent shoutout from Beyonce at the Miami Renaissance tour stop was the icing on the cake and the 15 minutes of fame that has catapulted my career to a whole new level with over 9 million views the world has been introduced to the Fancy James Brand. We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No road to success is easy darling even a special Queen like myself. Probably 1 of the biggest obstacles was going through all of this without my angel who is my mom. She was my biggest cheerleader and not having her here to celebrate with me is my biggest regret. But financially I struggled I used my credit and savings to do it all. Contrary to popular belief I do not have a sugar daddy. I rolled up my sleeves.
Lost sleep, lost weight wore my knees out praying for strength just to keep going sometimes. Even though we’re good now there are still stressful times The more money you make the more you spend. But please honey don’t believe the hype I’m not an overnight success story I worked hard for over 10 years to get where I am now. The key to my success was lots of faith and prayer. God is my rock Period!

Making my dolls look fancy!!! Fashion and Luxury living is my comfort zone, I’ve mastered both and my new book and Reality Show currently in production are all just rewards for my persistence and ability to keep going when the going got tuff.
Knowing my mom is always with me makes me smile, and all the support I receive from my amazing customers who celebrate me and accept me for who I am. That all makes me smile. But having the ability to create the Fancy Life for myself and my clients is a huge blessing and it makes me smile daily.
