Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Boyd.
Hi Lindsey, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I studied textile fiber science and design at Cornell University where I found my love of fashion from business to design. I went on to have jobs with Nicole Miller, Donna Karen, Brooks Brothers, and CHANEL. During my time at CHANEL, I started moonlighting with my business partner to start The Laundress, a line of eco-friendly detergents and cleaning products to care for all of my CHANEL and clothing without dry cleaning.
In 2019, I sold The Laundress to Unilever and returned to the fashion world creating a new brand, RONDEL, a line of 18k recycled gold charms and lockets. RONDEL is a jewelry journal that allows you to create your story through charms.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Everything you do in life will have bumps in the road it’s how you choose to handle them.
I learned to be a really good problem solver and become very resourceful. I also had to learn to be okay with things not going exactly how I thought they would learn to be flexible and patient.

RONDEL is a collection of 18k Recycled Gold Necklaces and Bracelets adorned with personalized charms and lockets all made by hand in NYC.
RONDEL was inspired by my grandmother’s charm bracelet collection and the way each charm held a special story and memory of her life. I set out to create a new heirloom, something that was more modern and could be worn every day and passed on for generations. RONDEL is a jewelry journal, expressing each person’s story and style.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Traveling. I love to see new places and experience new things with friends and family. I am super inspired when I travel and most of my best ideas happen then.
