Conversations with Ryelee Lebowitz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryelee Lebowitz.

Ryelee Lebowitz

Hi Ryelee, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I remember being a little girl and walking through friends’ or families’ homes being so fascinated by every little detail. I remember being so curious about what was behind each door and not knowing whether or not asking for a tour would make me weird or unique. I remember asking questions to my friends parents about the type of crown molding, countertops, cabinets, etc. but I also remember being too shy to even say anything most times knowing this was not what most 10-year-olds talked or cared about.

When we are in college, we all go through a period of self-reflection and ask ourselves “What do we want to do for the rest of our lives?”, “what am I passionate about?”, and “What do I love?”, and the only things on replay in mind were different properties, design, architecture, and boss women walking through these houses explaining the intrinsic details of each. I then knew I wanted to be in the real estate industry and immediately applied as a real estate intern at a nearby brokerage.

As I worked there, I was also a leasing agent and a nanny for many families trying to network for when I was ready. I was also taking my real estate course and studying for my exam at the same time. I decided to graduate early and move back home early to start my career where the opportunities were and where home is Miami, Florida.

I got licensed, applied to work for top Realtors, and decided to become a Broker Assistant until I had my network and knew the industry enough to feel confident working with my own clients. After one year, I decided I was ready to be a full-time agent and hopped around a few different teams until I found my home. The end goal has always been to find the right place for me where I can continue to grow, build my business, and enjoy what I do and who I do it with every day.

I am exactly where I’ve wanted to be and now the vision just keeps growing. Every year I’m going to continue impressing myself and the people around me. I’m going to continue living a life I’ve created for myself that I’m beyond proud of and knowing, this fire inside me and the support of my loved ones is what got me here. I’m an entrepreneur, a hustler, a absolute boss, and I’m so excited for what’s to come!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
NOT AT ALL.

I had to go back and forth to hourly/salary jobs since I got licensed in 2019 just to make ends meet. I was maxing out credit cards left and right and always needed people to help me financially. Every time I received a real estate check, it was not spending money. It was to pay off credit cards and outstanding bills. I wanted to be a full-time agent so bad but without having a family that could financially support me, I was left to sacrifice so much for this career to hopefully and eventually make it one day.

That’s another struggle in itself when trying to make it in the industry. You’re constantly questioning whether or not this is the right career for you since you’re always running out of money, working long hours with little to no results, and dealing with clients who are wasting your time and not serious. It’s a tremendous sacrifice and was an insanely difficult four years up until I became consistent with listings, closings, and incoming clientele and was able to build a name for myself.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Real Estate Advisor in South Florida, specializing in the Miami Beach area. I am known for working on a few islands in Miami Beach such as Biscayne Point, Normandy Isles, and Normandy Shores.

I am most proud to be where I am at for my age. What sets me apart is my passion, drive, youth, relentless follow-up, optimistic attitude, empathy and understanding of my clients, and utmost confidence.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Yes! I learned that there is an opportunity everywhere you just have to think outside of the box and find it. You never want to be thinking and acting like everyone else. You have to find the opportunity when others are fearful.
