Hi Kiera, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I began my journey in Divine Minks LLC fueled by passion and interest in lashes! Over the years, I’ve learned a lot of different things in the business world each contributing to my growth.
I navigated challenges such as how to target my customers such as what’s in style and what they like and it’s made me learn valuable lessons. Today, I’m proud to have reached the milestone of being driven by dedication and a continuous eagerness to evolve.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth ride. In the beginning, I came across challenges, Items not selling as I thought they would. I realized I was spending more money than I was bringing in. Just learning the business ins and outs in general. How to operate a small business. Learning how to manage the financial side of the business. I’ve learned so much along the way that I wish I knew in the beginning.
I tell people all the time that tell me they are going to start a small business. The number one key is to NOT GIVE UP! There are so many minor or big challenges that you will come across. The key is to learn from it and evolve. I had to learn patience, faith, and trust in the process.
I’ve never been at a point where I wanted to give up, but you do have those days where you question what was the best decision. When you feel like that it’s time to go back to the drawing board and regroup. Think of new ways or ideas to grow your business.
