Today we’d like to introduce you to Nasima Moody.
Hi Nasima, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my career in Health Services Administration, working in multiple roles for the largest healthcare provider in South Florida. That company sponsored my degree in Health Services Administration from Barry University. The experience gained was key in my growth both professionally and personally. Before becoming a State Farm Agent, I held leadership roles at one of the most successful international health insurance companies.
Working for their Latin America & Caribbean division, prepared me for interacting with clients and colleagues in multicultural markets. I learned about the opportunity of owning my own State Farm agency, after 10 years in the insurance industry.
My Mother has been an Insurance Agent for over 30 years, and during my teenage years, she owned an Independent Insurance Agency, so I had a general understanding of the operational aspect of the business. Insurance is a product that everyone needs, so I have always been passionate about it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think every success story has challenges, and once you’ve overcome an obstacle, it seems there is always another hurdle that needs to be overcome, right around the corner.
Being in South Florida, the insurance market has many diverse factors that are not experienced in their markets. Our storm exposure is one of the factors that make it a little more bumpy, but it’s not something that we cannot navigate through!

My team and I are passionate about assisting others in protecting their legacy through insurance. We are passionate about helping our clients uncover their insurance needs, and developing a plan with them, to fulfill those needs.
We offer State Farm insurance products through multiple lines of insurance including auto, boat, motorcycle, home, life, and health insurance.
What matters most to you?
Being able to continue to help my community learn more about how insurance can help shape their lives, is what I am most passionate about professionally. Personally, protecting my legacy through my decisions and daily activities with my family is what matters the most.
