Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Judge.
Hi Gina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
Three years ago during Covid, I started a podcast because I wanted to create a safe space for women to consume financial education.
Today, I own a dynamic financial literacy company where I teach women how to lead financially independent lives regardless of the presence of influential men in their lives—be it a father, brother, or partner—my team and I at The MMG are dedicated to fostering financial autonomy.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth road, growth isn’t a linear process. Entrepreneurship can be isolating, especially for solo founders. The absence of a traditional work environment and team camaraderie left me feeling lonely.
I felt lonely in the first year but I made up for that by networking and building strategic partnerships with other small business owners. The best advice I can give to entrepreneurs is to build a support system.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The MMG is full-service financial literacy company. Our approach to finance is holistic and comprehensive, covering a spectrum of topics including budgeting, debt management, credit cultivation, investment strategies, insurance know-how, mortgage eligibility, and beyond. This well-rounded education is perceived as the cornerstone enabling individuals to embrace a life enriched with financial abundance and countless prospects.
We offer an array of services from a 4 month intensive mentorship program, one-on-one consultations, courses on investing, semi-annual seminars, and so much more.
As a woman of color working in a heavily male-dominated space, I set myself apart from my male counterparts by being extremely assertive. I am not afraid to speak up, I am confident in my opinions, and I never back down from challenges. This is a recurring theme you see with my brand. I empower women to stride confidently towards their financial aspirations.
In 2023, we’ve inspired more than 500,000 women across the globe. Through our podcast, social media, seminars, and mentorship we’ve improved the financial well-being of several women and we don’t plan to stop any time soon!
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Networking is crucial for the success of any entrepreneur, especially female entrepreneurs. The best advice I can share is to be authentic. Authenticity is the key to building genuine connections. Be yourself.
People appreciate the sincerity. Second to this, leverage online platforms. Utilize social media platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn to connect with other like-minded individuals. Consistency is key. I have posted on my Instagram story every day for the last 3 years.
