Today we’d like to introduce you to DJDADON.
Hi DJDADON, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My story started in 1988 being born in Haiti. When I was 1 year old, my family relocated to Miami Gardens. From there on, I grew up navigating everyday life and trying not to be influenced by the streets.
Entering my teenage years, I obtained a football scholarship to American Heritage Highschool where I graduated in 2008. After graduating, from college, I obtained a football scholarship to the University of Iowa, which led me to meet people in the music industry and the rest is history.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life has not always been the smoothest. I faced many obstacles growing up.
Such as losing my mom at an early age and having to raise my siblings. Every day is a battle of making sure I stay on track to reach my ultimate goal of being the biggest producer in the music industry.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My specialty is making beats and production. I am most proud of my longevity in the music industry I started over 10 years ago and am still going strong.
What sets me apart from others is my drive and determination. Every day, I wake up and make sure I put my best foot forward toward my goals.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see the music industry expanding and taking on a different sound from your everyday rap and hip-hop.
