Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Fiorello.
Hi Rachel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in the South Florida area and moved away to New York City for a few years after I graduated college in 2005. In 2008, I found my way back to South Florida and, shortly after, met my husband, Matthew. We were married in 2012 and couldn’t wait to start our family together.
In 2013, I gave birth to our first daughter and about 3.5 months later, I had the pleasure of having a call with the owner of The Cradle Coach, Melissa Perry. Melissa and I connected over a quick call about my daughter’s sleep but I knew there was a deeper connection there!
Two months later, Melissa was looking to grow The Cradle Coach. While I saw the post and knew I would be a perfect fit, she told me she had immediately thought of me for the position as well. I have always been very passionate about helping others and seeing people thrive.
When I initially joined Melissa’s team, I was leading our online group workshops. The Cradle Coach has grown so much since then and I have grown along with it! In that time, my husband and I welcomed our second daughter in 2016 and I currently help Melissa operate The Cradle Coach as the Chief Operating Officer.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The path I have been on in my professional journey with The Cradle Coach has been incredibly smooth and beyond enjoyable. There is nothing I love more than receiving an email from a client telling me how much their lives have changed because of the work we did together in giving their baby or child healthy sleep habits.
However, I didn’t realize how much those same people would be there for me when I needed them most. In 2019, my husband was killed. I was instantly thrown into raising our two young daughters on my own. The love, support, and comfort I felt from The Cradle Coach community of past clients and followers was something I didn’t even know I needed.
I would read their messages of how much I helped them in their time of need while they were, unknowingly, providing me with the same. They kept me afloat and helped me ease back into my role at work, knowing I still had people out there who needed my help, too!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At The Cradle Coach, we are certified baby and toddler sleep consultants. We help give tired parents the tools they need to give their babies or toddlers the healthy sleep they all need! We work with newborns to children up to age 5 and our clients are located all around the world! We are known for creating custom sleep packages for each client we work with because we know that there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to a child.
I am honored that the parents I work with put so much trust in me by allowing me to create these sleep packages for their children. They allow me to understand their current situation so that I can make adjustments to the sleep routines in their lives. They have that understanding that they will get the results they are looking for…and they do!
There are many sleep consultants out there but I am most proud of what we, at The Cradle Coach, stand for. If a client tells me they are not willing to change a specific situation in their lives, we will work around that! If a client tells me that they want their plan to incorporate something specific, we will do that! We strive to create a plan that makes sense for each parent’s philosophies when it comes to raising their children.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
There are so many misconceptions out there when people see the word sleep coaching, sleep training, helping babies sleep, etc.
Sleep training doesn’t mean your baby can’t get a feeding at night. It doesn’t mean that you can’t get those cuddles in with your little ones, either!
At The Cradle Coach, we are all moms and we would never ask a client to do something that we would not do ourselves. We work with every parent to ensure their plan fits within their comfort zone. We are looking for every single family that we work with to have the sweetest dreams possible.
