Morgan, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My name is Morgan Wallace and for as long as I can remember I have always been obsessed with details and logistics. I view challenges as puzzle pieces. When a challenge presents itself, it is about finding how the puzzle pieces can come together to make the bigger picture.
I was born in a small town of Parsons, Kansas and moved around the Midwest. My home growing up was mainly in Oklahoma, where as I got older and began my career I was able to begin to let my dedication to details shine. I started off in sports working for the minor league baseball team and then with the OKC Thunder NBA Team. I was in college when hired full time for the NBA as their entertainment coordinator. In this role I was challenged to expand my love of details by coordinating the national anthem, color guard, invocation, and halftime acts for each home game. My team and I worked together to host brand activation at each timeout, and everything was always organized down to the second. For some, this attention to detail may sound like a nightmare but for me it was a dream.
A few years went by, and my husband and I had the opportunity to move to Miami, Florida. We packed up and drove to Miami where my next great opportunity presented itself. Shortly after moving to Miami, I was hired as the event coordinator for Biscayne Lady Yacht Charters. This was another dream where I have been able to let my love of details shine! Here we work closely with our clients for a variety of events including birthdays, weddings, corporate events, and more. Each event is different and brings its own puzzle pieces to match. Working with yachts comes with different challenges including bridge schedules, weather, storage, deliveries/pick up, and more. After a few great years working as the events coordinator, I was promoted to the events manager position where we have been able to expand our department and continue to grow working with more and more amazing clients.
