Today we’d like to introduce you to Federica Nava.
Hi Federica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story began years ago when I was a young girl who loved to organize family events and lay a beautiful tablescape, even for breakfast at home. This passion later became a career as I continued to develop these skills throughout college. Went to school at FIU and got a Degree in Hospitality Management – this gave me the perfect background and knowledge + amazing opportunities to form myself as an event planner.
I worked corporate for about three years after graduating, while at the same time freelancing for event planning companies and then I started my own company in 2017… the rest is history (today, I formally do weddings + events for a living and couldn’t be the happiest for working doing what I love!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been smooth at all, but really worth it! I am on my second company, opened the first one by myself, then got into a partnership and we decided to part ways now working on my own again since 2019 has been the best decision ever – can’t say it has been easy because finding the right employees has taken time.
But now I have an amazing team and with them, we are doing weddings and all types of social events last year we moved to a real warehouse again since the pandemic and we offer a wide variety of rentals that we use at our own events as well!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I opened my business to offer my services in planning any type of event, but then my friends started to get married and we focused more on the wedding planning side – and have been specializing in it until now!
Brand-wise, I am most proud of saying that besides weddings, we are a full-on event production company because we have everything you need for your event to happen (knowledge of the best vendors, we have our rentals, we do floral design, working alongside a great Venezuelan chef who operates a catering, manage staff and can design and bring your vision a reality.
During the pandemic we opened a sister company Flora by FN – because we saw the necessity to bring flower arrangements to those who couldn’t leave home – and now we have a catalog on our site www.federicanava.com available every day for anyone to order flowers for a friend, lover, colleague, partner – you name it!

I myself know what an event costs, and how hard nowadays we work for what we want – and mostly in this city!
