Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Birman.
Hi Anna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I have started my journey back in 2015 when I graduated from FIU with a dual diploma – bachelors in Biology and Nutrition. Medicine and a healthy lifestyle were always my passion.
In 2020, I earned a Master’s in physician assistant studies from Nova Southeastern University, and since then, my passion for providing good healthcare and helping people continued to grow. In 2020, I joined Aventura OB-GYN Specialists, my husband’s practice, and opened my own business practice alongside an aesthetic twist. Birman Gynecology & Aesthetics is a modern wellness center that provides gynecologic care, anti-aging medicine, and aesthetic enhancements.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
When I started the professional PA program at NSU, I had a 4-month-old newborn at home. This was my biggest struggle to find a balance between school’s hectic schedule and being a mother. Constant guilt of not being there for my daughter, and sleepless nights while studying took a big emotional toll on me.
With the greatest help and support from my family, I was able to graduate and got inspired to have my own business. Being my own boss while raising a child is absolutely rewarding. My family, my husband, and my daughter are my endless encouragement. As we continue to grow daily, we have a relentless drive for excellence. Dr. Birman and I couldn’t do it without our amazing staff and colleagues.

My husband, Dr. Alex Birman, MD is my true mentor. While I concentrate on ‘’mommy makeovers’’, weight loss, hormonal balance, infertility, and gynecological services, he enjoys the obstetric and surgical aspects of the practice.
