Hidden Gems: Meet Robin Dimond of Fifth & Cor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Dimond.

Hi Robin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From a young age, I demonstrated a natural talent for entrepreneurship. My first memory of this was in grade school when I started selling lollipops out of my locker, which to my surprise, was frowned upon by the school and was forced to stop selling. Luckily, that didn’t discourage me and I remained motivated and determined to make a difference as an entrepreneur.

Over time, I went on to establish and run successful restaurants, and while I enjoyed every minute of it and recognized it got me to where I am today, eventually I realized my passion was elsewhere. I became fascinated by the potential to combine cutting-edge technology and innovative marketing tactics to elevate the customer experience and drive results across diverse industries.

As a result, I founded Fifth and Cor, drawing upon the lessons and insights gained from my varied experiences. Our ultimate aim is to deliver unforgettable experiences that resonate on every level – from stimulating all five senses to touching the hearts of each and every customer. Through constant innovation and imaginative marketing, we strive to consistently exceed expectations and push boundaries.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At this point, I don’t even know if there is a road below our feet. We’ve undoubtedly faced our fair share of obstacles and challenges, but that’s the price of working for your dreams.

Like so many others, our organization has faced tremendous challenges over the past year and a half. From the onset of the global pandemic to the subsequent economic downturn, we’ve had to navigate uncharted waters and make difficult decisions to keep our business not only afloat, but thriving.

From the need to wear multiple hats to the pressure of supporting our employees with financial incentives in a market that’s working against us, we’ve remained committed to our core values, doing everything in our power to support our team and enable growth and upward mobility for all.

We wear any and all scars with pride, understanding that each setback has been an opportunity to refine our processes, identify our most committed customers, and build a team that is truly dedicated, hardworking, and loyal.

Through these trials, we have emerged stronger, more determined, and better equipped to succeed in our field. We understand that success is rarely a straight line, but rather the result of grit, persistence, and a willingness to learn from failure.

We’ve now hit our stride and achieved significant momentum. Our team has never been stronger, and our organization has received multiple awards for our outstanding work over the past year. We’re humbled to have been given the opportunity to share our insights and experiences with other industry leaders, having had the honor of speaking on stage at some of the most prestigious conferences across the United States.

This success is a testament to the tireless efforts of our team, who have remained steadfastly committed to our vision of delivering innovative, cutting-edge solutions and unforgettable customer experiences. We’re excited to build upon this momentum and continue pushing boundaries in the months and years to come.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
As a female-founded and 100% bootstrapped organization, we understand firsthand the challenges and obstacles that come with being self-funded. We’ve heard from countless customers and peers who are struggling to make their dreams a reality, and we’re here to tell them that they’re not alone.
