Today we’d like to introduce you to Mario Mora.
Hi Mario, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been in my career as a professional DJ for 6 years, most of the time I have traveled all over Mexico covering more than 8 states. For the art basel of 2019, they contacted me so that I could go to play in Miami, that’s when it all began.
My stay was only 2 days and due to the great success and acceptance of the public, I stayed 1 more week. After that, as happened to many of us, the pandemic came and everything stopped. I had another tour of Miami but it couldn’t happen because everything was closed and hardly anyone could leave their country or enter another.
By 2022, everything was more normal due to the pandemic, they contacted me again but now from a group called Mr. Hospitality Miami telling me that they had seen me, they analyzed my Instagram profile, my Facebook fan page, my Soundcloud and They asked me to send my presskit by mail (the presskit is the curriculum of the artists) and that after they would contact me.
In a week I already had an answer and a date to return to Miami, the truth was that I was very excited because now it was not going to be 1 place anymore, I was going to play in the 3 places that the group has and the truth is that today they are one of the best that it has Miami, which is Marion, Baoli and El Tucan. 1 month ago they just opened a new one called The Queen.
For most of 2022, I was in Miami, an incredible city and full of a lot of variety to eat, walk, have fun, live. I lived in Doral with a friend and the truth is that the tranquility that exists in that area is incomparable. I kept having trips to Mexico because they wanted me to play other clubs so I would go the weekend or sometimes 1 day and return to Miami.
The truth has been incredible, this experience and even more to be in this beautiful city, I have met celebrities, old friends, and strange people who have become my friends, and best of all, I have been growing in my career as a DJ. Miami will always be a very special place for me and full of opportunities for anyone who wants it, I hope to see you there in a club saying let’s go Mario Mora.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been quiet, but not easy. There is a lot of envy in this environment but my personality and tranquility have always opened more doors and opportunities for me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a professional DJ, I have been fortunate to be with international artists such as Tiesto, Fisher, Sharam Jey, Mochakk, Tchami, etc., and speaking with these different people I have always taken the best advice and put it into practice, there are many DJs in the world and Miami there are too many, but what characterizes me and makes me different first is my age because I am very young compared to the others and also every time I play is different!
I always analyze the people there, if there are more men or women, the time I’m playing, and that the lights (light jockey) also match what I’m playing and take people to an unforgettable night.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy in life is being with my family, my friends, and the people I love the most. at work see people smile, and dance, get to see them in an environment of extreme fun, and turn to the DJ Booth and see that I am the DJ.
