Today we’d like to introduce you to Awilda Sanchez.
Hi Awilda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My career path has been the following:
Started working since I was 18 years old
Studied at BCC and Nova Southeastern University (Legal Assistance)
Worked as a paralegal since 2008
Worked with 5 attorneys (Immigration & Criminal Law) in South Florida
Worked as a sales rep for a company that completed endoscopes and surgical instrument repairs
Worked for Jetblue for 10 years 2 months
I have always been the go-to problem solver of my family and community. During the pandemic, I was working for Jetblue (the airline) and at that time I decided to start my own business July 1st, 2020, and call it Sanch3z Services LLC. Fast forward to now my company is now International and is named “ Servicios Awilda.” I have always been a person to provide customer service but also complete a service as well. Immigration, Tax Consultant, Notary Public, Interpreter and help with other administrative support (license renewal, unemployment, government assistance, and more).
I am passionate about helping others, giving others the education and resource of how to complete something, taking the time to care, and offer empathy along with results and better outcomes. I am naturally a giver and just enjoy helping. During my time at Jetblue, I also did a lot of developing and recruiting. In that my Jetblue testimony was what helped me get to where I am today. I strategized and pushed myself to always hold a new position in the company and continue to go up the corporate ladder. In this, I developed my eminent passion of coaching and developing others to their full potential. My company “Servicios Awilda” now offers workshops for growth development in a personal and/or business aspect. We complete different analyses to understand the current process our client is in and where they want to go. We push for a lot of our clients to expand, grow, and start their own businesses and keep thriving for them and their families.
I am a motivator at heart. In 2018 I started with a friend of mine our own Podcast and IG lives titled “Let’s talk and Inspire” in which we had a different topic every Monday night and just gave our views based on experiences. It was a safe zone to discuss life and give our point of view while welcoming the input and opinions of others that joined. Let’s talk and inspire provided support, love, and joy to our listeners. Now we have not been as active due to my partner is on the amazing journey of Motherhood. For now, I post from time to time to keep our listeners engaged as best as possible.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Some discrimination due to me being a Latin woman, immediate family members not trusting or believing you could do it, and moments of depression and anxiety
