Hi Annabelle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I was travel nursing throughout the pandemic, which became exhausting as you can imagine. On my last contract in Miami, I met Llubica Barkovic and shared my dream of starting an IV therapy company that focused on holistic healing. I had a vision of a medical practice that cared about each individual patient and customized their treatment instead of just following a one-size-fits-all model. So Llubica and I did just that. Medicology IV & Wellness was born in 2021. Since then, we have treated everything from Covid-19 to hangovers in hundreds of clients, including a few celebrities.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not. I had no idea how many hats I’d have to wear as a business owner. I became not just an RN, but a market analyst, sales director, finance manager, etc. I had no experience in any of these fields. I was good at IV therapy, but suddenly, I realized a business is so much more than that. I thought starting a business would free up my time. Instead, I went from working 48 hours a week to 24/7. All in all, we have learned so much through this process, and I am so thankful for it.
