Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Tetreault.
Lisa, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I actually went back to school later in life to earn my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees. Before I joined my private practice, I worked as a therapist in community mental health and as a utilization reviewer in managed care. Although I learned a lot in those positions, I am so much more fulfilled in my practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Going back to school while working full time and being a single mother was challenging but my struggles made me stronger and resulted in the person that I am today.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Linda Berlin, Pay. D. & Psychological Associates, Inc. which is one of the largest practices in the area. We offer a variety of clinicians including Master’s level therapists like myself as well as psychologists and psychiatrists.
Most of our clinicians use a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I like to personalize my treatment for each client and include Positive Psychology and Mindfulness when appropriate. I am also an EMDR Therapist and offer that service when indicated. I have evening and weekend office hours and accept most insurances.
I am proud to recommend our practice because we have skilled and dedicated professionals as well as a compassionate administrative staff. Our waiting rooms and counseling offices are soothing and upscale.
What were you like growing up?
I grew up on the ocean in Massachusetts and still have a bit of a Boston accent. I meditate daily so I come to the office in a peaceful, loving mood each day. I appreciate art in all of its forms including art, music and film and have a love of reading.
