Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Siles.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been in the beauty industry for 18 years. I went to hair school after college because I just felt in my bones it was what I was supposed to do. After 6 years of working behind the chair, I took a hiatus form when I started a beauty company with my twin sister. Owning that company helped me learn so much about the business side of beauty, creating brands and products. After I sold my portion of that business, I was missing clients and doing hair so I started working from home and building my business all from word of mouth. I always loved and did hair extensions but the methods were always good, but not great. I knew that there were so many new methods to pursue so I began my search to learn from the best. I became IBE (Invisible Bead Extension) certified in June of 2021 and it completely transformed my business. Putting that method together with my expertise in lived-in blonding, grey blending, and my signature dry cuts, I am able to create literal magic on hair and my clients have never been happier! In July 2022 I opened my salon, Alexandra Siles Hair. I work alongside my assistant who is learning and growing every day who will soon also offer this service. I am currently the only certified stylist in Miami doing IBE so it is keeping me very busy! From just adding some thickness to a full color and length transformation I am giving women in Miami their dream hair every day with absolutely no damage to thrive own hair!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think balancing the growth of my business and the work behind the chair and also having time for my growing family has been a challenge. I have 2 girls, Naya, 4, and Lia, 3, and my wonderful supportive husband, Assi. They are the light of my life and I work hard to nurture and support both parts of my life.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in an incredible, PATENTED hair extension method called IBE (Invisible Bead Extensions). It is the only method in the world to receive a patent and I have undoubtedly mastered the craft. I think all of my years of expertise in highlighting, coloring and cutting, and mastering those and coupling that with this incredible method has really elevated my career. The extensions are installed by sewing very thin wefts of hair around strategically placed beads so there is no tension, pain, or damage at all! The hair is then custom colored to match your own shade to perfection. That is why we are able to call them invisible! If you have ever had extensions, you know there is usually some damage, unmatched color, and not great blending from your hair to the extensions. Well times have changed and now I can literally create magic on my clients and it both so fulfilling to me and for them. I also just finished my own line of hair! I found it so hard to find true, quality hair for hairstylists so I used my connections to source the most absolutely beautiful 100% ethically sourced Russian/Slavic hair. I currently have over 22 colors in my range and it will continue to grow. I am looking to branch off that side of the business next year as well.
