Hi Tiffany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a former tech who always had a passion for people and cannabis. Advocating for freedom is how I started my path in cannabis 32 years ago. Cannabis activism has evolved a lot over the years and I am grateful to still be a part of crafting change in this amazing community and industry.
About eight years ago I started holding small town-hall-style cannabis talks called Ladycanna 101, where folks could come and talk about their relationship with cannabis. These intimate conversations were bold, but everyone felt safe to share, and give/receive advice. We talked freely about integrating cannabis into our lives.
I started to notice that women especially felt very free to share their journeys through parenting, relationships, and business -the good times and the bad times – I knew I had to do more to empower their positions; broaden their voices. Three years ago, I launched Vanguard Media Online – a magazine, and a movement for women in the cannabis space (#jointhevanguardmovement).
This has been a major undertaking, and I’m nowhere near done yet! Vanguard is read all over the United States, and also in Canada, Jamaica, and Australia. There are so many compelling stories to be told by women in cannabis – and we intend to get to all of them.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Oh no! There have been plenty of obstacles. I have encountered bold and blatant sexism and racism from being asked to leave the room to being heckled by the crowd. I do not let it bother me or hold me back. I am here, and I am LOUD! Loud enough to drown out the hate.

Vanguard Media Online is a platform and a magazine for women in cannabis. We focus on sharing the stories of women and what they encounter while navigating the cannabis space as creatives, entrepreneurs, and activists.
But Vanguard Media Online is more than a magazine – it is a movement for Women. Everything we do serves to empower women -events, outreach programs, and mentoring. #jointhevanguardmovement. I am known for speaking my mind and telling the truth no matter what. It is the cornerstone of my brand and is present in the work I do.
What makes you happy?
Helping people makes me happy. I am elated to see that “a-ha moment” for someone. I know they’re going to succeed. I firmly believe that we truly thrive only when we are willing to share our formula for success with others.
