Life & Work with Catalina Londoño

Today we’d like to introduce you to Catalina Londoño.

Hi Catalina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a Colombian singer and performer in the South Florida Latin music scene.

I arrived in this country 15 years ago, leaving my whole family in Colombia with the sole objective of sharing my voice in this part of the world. Since then, I have not stopped bringing joy to every corner I could through music. It has been a very blessed path because I have met many musicians from different parts of the world, wonderful audiences, and incredible stages, I have had the opportunity to study and learn and to this day I continue to do so.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
More than obstacles I have had challenges that have helped me improve every day and have a north and a goal to achieve. The language and being away from the family have been the most difficult parts of this journey. But I have focused on studying and trying to visit my family as much as I can.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Currently residing in Miami Beach, happy to fill people with joy through the music in the South Florida entertainment sector. I’m recognized by my versatility in many genres of music.

In Miami, I also recorded 5 singles by the Cuban composer – Francisco Robaina “Sexto Sentido”, “Regálame Ese Sueño” “Cumbia Son”,“Amor Sincero”, “verdor de esperanza” and have worked under the musical production of Gabriel Cifuentes, Tommy Ruiz, Diego Camacho, and Luis Romero. I composed the song “llegaste tu” with the composer Larry col, and my most recent hit has been the song – “Soy de Colombia” (composed by Diego Marcos and produced by Gabriel Cifuentes)

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Since I was little I was always interested in music, I listened to and wrote the lyrics of the songs and I always participated in the musical groups of my schools and university. I was always called to music.
