Hi Celena, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Eight years ago at only 19 years old living in North Carolina right out of college, I started my own beauty business doing eyelash extensions & permanent makeup. I started it with little money & taught myself along the way from trial & error. Growing up in a small town was hard. So much competition & no one wanted to help you. No room to grow. I had that business for almost seven years before I decided I wanted more out of life after Covid shut my business down for four months. At the time, there was no “unemployment” payments being sent out to small business owners. I still had booth rent to pay, my home rent & other bills. I just lost my grandma & dog. I ended an engagement. It was a dark place. But a place I needed to be to find myself. Sometimes we get so lost in our everyday lives just going with the norm living in our comfort zones but never truly happy or fulfilled. I wasn’t fortunate with parents who taught me financial knowledge. I was fortunate to have loving parents though. So, I took it upon myself to read financial literacy so I can pick myself up out of that dark place. I leaned on God. I did a lot of self-work & healing. It’s all about your mindset & your attitude when we go through tough times in life. Having a strong support system & a strong faith helps in that. I found the love of my life, I sold my business to pursue our dreams & we moved here to Miami. He is an educator for Driven Trading, LLC & I am an influencer & content creator working from home. We are about to venture into Airbnb, so I can’t wait to see what the future holds with all of our future investing. I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I honestly don’t think anyone’s road is completely smooth without a few bumps along the way. The best advice I can give is to always have gratitude. Find the silver lining in a situation. Look at it as if life isn’t doing this to you but for you. Our hardships is what shape us. Persevere. Don’t let your ego, fear, comfort zone get in the way. Have confidence & already imagine your future self in your head. Imagine where you want to be, who you want to be able to attract that. Never let that image fade. When you have negative thoughts, replace it with good ones immediately as a habit. Because our subconscious doesn’t know the difference. We are what we tell it. I’ve struggled with finances, business, self-love, relationships, health, family, etc like many of us have but our past doesn’t define us. We are here to break the generational curses.

I am known for modeling, blogging, influencing & content creating. I am proud of empowering others & inspiring them to be themselves & not let fear control their lives. Taking risks is the only way we will ever get out of our comfort zones & pursue our dreams. Being authentic. There is no one else like you. & you could never be anyone else. Every part of us is different. God made us that way. We all have a purpose. It’s up to you to find it.
