Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Johnson.
Hi Danielle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I started doing brows in the 9th grade at the age of 15. I learned to shape, groom, and fill in my own brows, which led to my friends wanting me to do theirs too, so doing brows was always a natural talent for me. In addition to that, my desire to make sure that my own brows always looked their best, led me to training in microblading. That training kickstarted my career as a professional brow artist. I’ve now been a professional brow artist for 4 years and have over a dozen certifications in various areas of brow artistry including microblading, ombre brows, nano hair strokes, brow henna, brow lamination, and saline tattoo removal.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has NOT been a smooth road lol. I have faced several struggles along the way including navigating the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020, which happened 2 weeks after I got the keys to my first suite, juggling a full-time job, being a mom, and running a business all at once for 3 years, and coping with burnout countless times.

Posh and Pretty Brow Bar is the premier brow studio in Southeast Houston, TX. We specialize in all things brows! Our services include semi-permanent ombre and combination (nano hair strokes and shading) brows, henna brows, brow lamination, brow shaping, brow grooming, and saline tattoo removal.
What sets us apart from others is we not only deliver great brows, but we also give you a full experience from the moment you enter our beautiful salon. What I’m most proud of brand-wise is how my branding is solid and easily recognizable. I’ve also recently acquired two trademarks for the brand as well.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
As someone who has not only started a business but quit my job to pursue it full-time, I certainly believe in taking risks. If you don’t take risks, you’ll never gain any rewards. However, I believe that you should try planning and fully fleshing out potential risks as much as possible before taking any leaps.
