Today we’d like to introduce you to La Familia Latorre.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
A few years ago, we were eager to get ahead, we had a son and that was our great motivation. We wanted to grow and expand after arriving from our country Puerto Rico with almost nothing, it was time to move and start creating. We opened our first business, a barbershop (Superiority Barbershop) with a lot of effort and all our savings we bet everything together as a couple and family after one year with work every day for more than 12 hours daily today we can say we have thousand of customers. In that same year, we decided to open a family channel on different platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc. where after three years we have thousands and millions of followers.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not easy to arrive in a country where you do not know anything and we did not know the language, we had to work hard to get to where we are today. There were days where we thought we would not make it, a young couple with small children and working as hard as we could to have what we dreamed of as a family, when we saw our difficult goal, we looked at our children who made us never give up. Perseverance and consistency is the key to success.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are very proud of not only having opened our business so young and having undertaken together as a couple but also of creating content on social media where we serve as inspiration, motivation and example for those people who see a family and a stable home as something which is not common these days. Our objective through our content and our videos is not only to make people laugh and bring happiness but also that in the homes of our followers, they can identify with us, share our experiences and motivations as inspirations for others as something positive.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I think that in the next 5 and 10 years, I see us growing twice as fast as today, we hope to one day participate in television. Our goal is to leave a mark with our name for a few years but to stay forever.
