Meet John Austin

Today we’d like to introduce you to John Austin.

Hi John, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
How I got started was recording out of my guest room with a usb mic and audacity. Then ended up going to college (SAE Institute) for audio engineer and music production. Following that, I open a studio to with Trop Davinci and since then ended up working with artists like RonnyJ, Ski Mask The Slump God, Quentin Miller, Lil Pump, Tory Lanez, etc. which help grow my reach in the industry and on social media.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been a difficult ride. Many potholes along the way but that’s part of the process of becoming great. Helps build character by learning from your mistakes and being a student of the game. Understanding that it takes discipline, growing, sacrifice and when a door closes, there will always be another one open for opportunity.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a music artist, songwriter and entrepreneur. I’m known for my music, my collaborations with popular artists and social media presence. I’m most proud of my dedication and consistency of networking myself to the right people to get me opportunities to expand my reach in the industry. If I can to explain what sets me apart from others, I’m well diverse, from being a music artist, songwriter, audio engineer to executing ideas for other people’s goals and projects.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for anyone that’s starting out be consistent, confident, network and figure out a way to be an asset towards any opportunity presented to you with good intention. It’ll take you far, I promise.
