Today we’d like to introduce you to Susan Kolkina.
Hi Susan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always had a passion and obsession with all things that sparkle. My love for crystals began when I started collecting them as ‘staple decor’ pieces for my home.
I first started off with obsessing over Rose Quartz and Amethyst and then with Aura crystals which I became drawn into because of all of their rainbows.
Then, I got into a long-distance relationship with my now-husband which I ‘hiddenly’ manifested even though I NEVER thought of being in a long distant relationship. My husband has been the man I was manifesting the whole time. The most expected happens unexpectedly right? This magical manifestation opened my eyes and made myself interested in getting involved with meditating, crystals, and yoga.
I then became a blogger and began using my Instagram platform as a career to blog and work with brands. I then started creating e-books and published one all about crystals, how to start, and the meanings behind them. My first e-book that was published became popular and was known to help and educate others out there. This went viral and eventually, my Instagram grew and reached over 30,000 people.
After my awakening realization and success from manifesting my hopes and dreams, time passed and my crystal collections and knowledge grew.
Crystals became more and more meaningful in my life and crystal shopping became one of my favorite things to do. My love for them became really special and I continued to use them for guidance, comfort, healing and manifesting. A saying I say all the time is “I want to hold a champagne glass in one hand and crystals in the other” My quote transformed into “Crystals and Champagne” for my business because a girl should always have both.
My journey pushed myself to continue to grow and pursue my Instagram as a platform to connect with others especially women and pursue a journey with them off of light, knowledge, advice, and more. Which led me to creating my own crystal business. As an online crystal shop. I post my crystals all over my platform that gives my followers a more intimate look into my journey. Crystals & Champagne was born so I could share my passion and knowledge about them whether it is used in crystal meditation, spirituality or just to have for fun to collect and stare at them because of how pretty they are. I want my desire and passion for them to radiate off myself to others so that I can help shine light into as many people as I could.
Just remember you are here for a reason and something magical is in each and every one of us. Crystals are a big role in my life and I am sure they will be in yours as well. They are special, magical, and totally meant to be in your life just as much as they are in mine. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of my struggles were to make sure I was unique as possible. I wanted to stand out. Choosing a color scheme for my brand such as packaging, wrapping paper, packaging material, etc. I wanted to stay on brand. Coming up with unique ideas was a struggle but it got me where I am now. I came up with pink boxes that I make by hand for each order and then complete them with tying a pink bow and adding one of my logo stickers on to them. I want my packaging to be special and also pretty so people can enjoy looking at what’s on the outside and on the inside when you receive your magical crystal. Another one of my struggles was starting live sales. I used to be so shy and thought I would never be able to make a sale off one. One day I did a live sale for 3 hours and made almost 2,000. It blew my mind and from there, I started getting more motivated and believed in myself. It was also a struggle for me to not compare my brand to other’s crystal business’ I eventually realized we should all be friends, motivate each other, and support each other. We each have a dream and are working on our small business. So why compare? We should only support one another and make the crystal community a happy filled family like place.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I sell healing crystals. I sell raw chunks of crystals, angel aura crystals as well as bigger crystals that are my statement pieces.
