Conversations with Carrell Lasso

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carrell Lasso.

Hi Carrell, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Colombian actor. I am 34 years old, and I have been in this profession for 15 years.

For a long time, I was a teacher in different schools in my country until I decided to dedicate myself to what I am passionate about.

As an acting coach, I have shared knowledge with many talents which is gratifying for me because in the same way that I teach I learn from them, I like that everything I do comes out excellent, that’s why I’m always looking to perfect my crafts by studying and practicing as much as I can.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are always obstacles, especially at the beginning of your career, many due to the ignorance of a beginner and not knowing how the business works, and others due to life circumstances. One of my obstacles when coming to the United States was initially the legal status to work here and the language has also been a challenge to overcome.

but with discipline and dedication, I have been reaching the goals and little by little spaces have been opening up in the places that I have wanted and want to reach.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In my country, I had the opportunity to be in a number of productions such as series, soap operas, movies, among which Collaborations between Colombia and the United States stand out, such as Narcos for Netflix, La Esclava Blanca (Netflix), Undercover law (Netflix) and a thousand fangs (HBOMAX).

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
