Inspiring Conversations with Shezetta Morris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shezetta Morris.

Hi Shezetta, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my journey of being a healer, just as an optimistic individual that believed you could do anything. I was community-driven, belonged to a very active church and it was this space that cultivated my desire to help people.

I am a spiritual leader and have been that for over 25 years. I’ve been actively involved in empowering and motivating individuals since the age of 19. From there, I expanded my reach thru my educational pursuits. I secured my initial degree in business but eventually secured my upper graduate degrees in Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Although I can motivate the masses, I feel like my greatest work is in a more therapeutic setting and dealing with people one on one.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has not been easy. In my younger years, I spent a lot of time finding my way. I had to transition in and out of some relationships. I moved to different regions of the United States. I’ve had some hardships with my children and with people. But it was all of those challenges that allowed me the strength and courage to discover solutions. In reality, my need to help people heal came from the experience of my own pain. What my life lessons taught me was that anyone can recover from anything. I believe that if a person receives the right tools and they have an unwavering mindset, they can move through any obstacle that is presented before them.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I have an active practice in which I provide services in coaching and therapeutic counseling. I am affectionately known as CoachShe, and I serve as a Life and Human Capital Coach for individuals and organizations. My goal in this role is to help individuals explore the realities of their life or organization. I assist them with securing the truth about who they are and helping them to align with that truth. When people serve out of the truth of their purpose, they are more apt to do meaningful work.

Additionally, I work as a consultant to entrepreneurs and individuals who are working to develop their business initiatives. I help to get people started in the areas that they see themselves moving but don’t always know how to get started.

I believe my distinction is my ability to have soulful insight into the life of the person(s) that I am relating to. I understand that although I may have some tools to assist them in their journey, the reality is that the person is the expert in their life pathway but don’t always realize that. I believe that facilitating the right conversation at the right time can open a person up to knowing that the solutions were in them the entire time.

My services can be reviewed thru my website, www.shezettamorris.com. I offer affordable fees for any individual who desires to get started on changing their world.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I am new to Homestead. My family and I have only been here seven years….so to me, that’s new. I love the sun of South Florida. That’s my whole highlight. Additionally, the love the family feels of the city of Homestead. It is a developing city with a lot of things on the horizon.

The thing I like least about my city is that there doesn’t seem to be a lot of activities that take place here just yet. I find that we still have to go into Miami in order to do more things. But I think that is changing as more traction is coming to Homestead. So we will stay tuned with that.
