Today we’d like to introduce you to Hommés Studio. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Our story starts being written since three visionary and distinct identities joined forces into one single purpose, the studio, a brand and concept. Hommés Studio is about passion and creativity, all our products are handmade, and every person who works with us is full-hearted in this project. The Studio’s life motto is to offer an Haute Couture concept in the Interior Design World. We challenge our boundaries combining design, fashion, culture and art into the limit to provide a home-style/identity that expresses the personality of its owner.
We got here with work, talent, creativity, but love for what we do.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Obstacles and challenges were expected, and during covid, it was difficult to keep production and delivery at the same level; it was not always a smooth road. However, we had superated we have the right team by our side, and this human factor makes our experiences flawless.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Micael Carvalho, the Creative Director, is a passionate person for history of art and design; he dedicated all his professional and personal experiences developing design, plastic and visual skills, from graphic to product design until 3D skills and painting. Besides being passionate about art and a native creative person, Micael likes to do a lot with few plus his family influences. The father is a photography and landscape lover; the mother has always connected with handmade textiles and the fashion industry, working on traditional techniques on clothes. Since his childhood, both his parents have positively influenced his growing connection with everything that is visual and authentic.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
“I believe that what makes me feel happy and complete is drawing. Creating is what I do, and I always think about what I can do and invent next. I believe this happens because I can find inspiration in the simplest things; for example, by staring at a natural landscape, I know something will come up, and I need a notebook next to me.” Micael Carvalho
Micael believes in 24h creative mindset, is his way of living, his lifestyle that he wants to keep. “Because that’s what makes me feel alive.”
In addition, Micael also shared that his home is an extension of his soul and creativity, his safe place, where he feels and records the happiest memories, and where it lives his eclectic spirit.
