Hi Shanice & Jamal, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My brother and I own a few businesses together including a mobile car wash (wash on demand) and a game truck (BattleGround Miami). While on vacation, we were inspired to open a new style restaurant that hasn’t been done in Florida. But with it being the middle of the pandemic a lot of banks and landlords wanted no parts of a new concept style restaurant, we felt defeated and wanted to give up but after a few weeks, we decided instead of the daunting task of trying to open a full blow restaurant why not bring our concept to the people at their homes, parks and beaches that was the birth of Dôme De Luxe.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not is anything, lol. One of the biggest struggles we had to overcome was at the very start of our business. When we first launched our business, Instagram we grew to almost 600 followers in one day, unfortunately a few days later our Instagram was hacked and deleted.
We most of our business being done outside. Another one of our major struggles is Florida weather, its always unpredictable and never what the weatherman says it going to be, lol.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Dome?
We are Dome De Luxe, a family-owned, blacked owned business that brings an air of luxury to our clientele normally when you see couples or celebrities post themselves having dinner on the beach, its always on a secluded, far away island. Well not anymore we have brought that luxury experience right to your doorsteps through our private beach dinners, Dinner parties and movie nights.
We set up Domes, picnics, and hotel rooms. We specialize in romantic dinners on the beach which is what we are most known for.
We always strive to make each experience better than the one before, we learn from every booking and are constantly adding more features and services to make each experience more enjoyable. For example, we added a personal chef @kkravings that has cultivated a unique menu for each services.
We are most proud of our uniqueness. Our business and our level of attention to detail is truly one of a kind. We were still able to safely help people celebrate special moments in their lives at a time when things were so uncertain in the world and many restaurants weren’t able to accommodate people during the pandemic.
