Hi Olivia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been a candle and fragrance lover. I would always spend lots of money on high-end candles for my room. Then one day during quarantine, I challenged myself to learn how to make a candle. So I did some research ordered all of the supplies, and began testing the wax and fragrance. On my first try, my measurements were wrong, but the second time was a winner. My mom was blown away by how good the candle smelled and I decided that I would create a brand. I knew of the benefits of aromatherapy and how they impact moods. I wanted my brand to embody quality and luxury that was disposable to everyone. That was the birth of Pukka.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Finding the perfect wax and fragrance combination was probably the biggest struggle. Certain waxes don’t mix well with certain fragrances. Some fragrances have a weaker scent throw than others. It took lots of time and trial and error to come up with the perfect formula.

Pukka Fragrance specializes in quality candles, fragrances, and home decor — coming soon. What sets us apart are the ingredients we use. Our wax is completely paraffin-free unlike traditional candles. Paraffin is carcinogenic when inhaled and can cause a plethora of health issues from headaches to hormonal imbalances. Also, our fragrances are completely natural and nontoxic. We never ever compromise on quality and that’s our mission.
