Meet Veronika Radkevich

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronika Radkevich.

Hi Veronika, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I moved to Miami from Paris, in march 2017, without having any idea how is commercial media production works here in the United States. Everything had to start from the scratch but sooner or longer, I realized without an investments in marketing is going to be very tough, my friend from New York recommend me a few platforms such as Yelp and Google my business. I was trying to start little by little but end up with huge amount of money to spend for advertising, and google ads wasn’t really worth it but slowly it starts reaching a potential clients. I did a lot of different types of photography from Weddings to Maternity, portraits family pictures, proposals, events, drone photography, food photography, real-estate, I was trying to catch anything I can tho ))). That was worth trying – I gain a lot of customers from all over South Florida because I was traveling from Miami to Key West, Naples, Fort Myers and sometimes almost Orlando – without even charging my clients for travel fees. I really loved my work at that time and really appreciated my clients from all over the place. If you ask me would I do that again yes, absolutely. I got a lot of great reviews, some of my clients recommend my services to their friends and family. From now on, I have a team of 5 + 3 outsourced mostly for post-production, I have guys from Ukraine and Belarus. Appreciate they do everything on time and with very reliable prices which helps my company grows and compete on the US market.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was a long way, US market was upside down world for me until I get used to it, even my English was not that perfect, managed to learn working only with English / Spanish speakers, and lived with friends native English and Spanish speakers, I have no Russian in the house, and only way to talk was use all my English dictionary from past years while I was traveling and live in Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia but that was not really English – English but anyway that helps a lot at the beginning.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work well, manage a team and been a creative professional, art and commercial its hard to put it together but I’m trying to but first of all is Love what you do and do what you love, people always feel the energy and vibe, before money – very important is to make my clients feel comfortable pay attention on their needs helps them to relax and achieve their goals no matter what type of session there is, first priority is to create memories – content that matches their needs.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Media production – already on the way, but probably my dream is a movie even a short one but on Netflix one day.
