Inspiring Conversations with Vlada Finsky of Opus Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vlada Finsky.

Hi Vlada, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a developer and a creative director of Opus Design, the interior design company. I consider myself a visionary designer who is able to see the potential in numerous spaces and objects to develop beautiful and emotionally pleasing masterpieces.

When I moved to the United States in 2010, I decided to follow my passion and study Interior Design at The University of Miami. Opus Design company was established in 2017 in Florida, USA, and was dedicated to remodeling or renovating any location into a practical and sustainable space.

Today Opus Design provides remodeling, interior decorative services, and design consultancy to real estate developers, investors, homeowners, and real estate professionals.

Opus Design is unique because the company also develops residential properties in South Florida.

The company develops functional, sophisticated, and dynamic projects and it has been successful in creating, constructing, and selling the properties.

Opus Design specializes in residential estates and can create a traditional timeless design, modern design in different forms, and minimalistic, streamlined spaces among others.

The company is taking a personal approach to every project we do, depending on the location and the main clientele in that specific area.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As an immigrant, I had a great opportunity for developing knowledge of other cultures, as the US is a multi-cultural country. I had to reframe my perceptions in so many ways in order to understand the cultural differences and particular qualities of some individuals.

While studying at the University of Miami, I had to change and evolve as a new professional as new knowledge, theories, and discoveries emerged across disciplines of Interior Design.

At the end of my education as an interior design student, I was imbued with a feeling of empowerment to take responsibility and gain knowledge surrounding diverse people, customs, and social organizations.

As you know, we’re big fans of Opus Design. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Opus Design is unique because the company also develops residential properties in South Florida. The slogan of the company is We design, we built, we sell the properties!

The company develops functional, sophisticated, and dynamic projects and it has been successful in creating, constructing, and selling the properties.

Opus Design specializes in residential estates and can create a traditional timeless design, modern design in different forms, and minimalistic, streamlined spaces among others.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I expect that the Interior Designers’ industry market size is expected to grow over the 5-10 years. A return to growth in corporate profit and in the value of both residential and nonresidential construction is expected to propel the industry forward. The real estate market in Miami is going up which gives my company the opportunity to be hired for new construction projects as well as for renovations and restorations, and to continue to develop my personal projects in the Coral Gables area.

So, from 5-10 years from now, I can see my portfolio grow with the multiple development projects, as well as with the interior design projects.
