Today we’d like to introduce you to Naiya Oden.
Hi Naiya, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My mom inspired me to get into real estate. She’s been in the real estate field for over 20 years and she motivated me to get my license. I would tag along to her open houses as a kid and I remember just being so intrigued and constantly asking her questions about houses. As I got older, I met some more powerful and successful real estate agents who were dominating the South Florida market. I knew that was something that I wanted to be a part of. I wanted to surround myself with a group of dynamic and influential women who were changing the game of real estate.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Just like with anything in life, there’s always going to be obstacles that you’ll have to overcome. Real estate has its ups and downs but you learn how to triumph. I’ve had to learn how to do things that were out of my comfort zone such as door-knocking, which is where a real estate agent will canvas a neighborhood and speak with homeowners with hopes of building relationships and generating new leads. Some homeowners are open to hearing what I have to say but I’ve also encountered some who will close the door in my face or they simply won’t answer the door. If that happens, I just keep it pushing and never take it personal.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about eXp Realty?
I’m happy to be apart of one of the world’s fastest-growing real estate brokerages. I am a licensed Realtor servicing South Florida and I work with those who are looking to buy/sell their homes. My job is to help you find a place to call home and get you to the closing table as smoothly as possible. I pride myself on being an agent who is graceful, determined, patient, and always has your best interest in mind. The home-buying process and home-selling process is not always easy. My job is to take on the difficult tasks that may arise so that you don’t have to do it alone.
What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is genuine happiness and self-love. One of the most important life lessons that I’ve learned is that happiness starts from within and that I have to show up for myself first.
