Hi Toré, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Good vibes and Orgasms! I am a young lady born and raised in Liberty City, Miami. I’m the true definition of a middle child, always into something or always doing something. Growing up I was very independent and it has carried over into my adult life. After graduating high school, I took on many things that some say were too mature for me. But I didn’t care, I’m an explorer, I love to know the why and how of things. As life went on, I learned to take the losses, pains and disappointments and turn them into the motivation to keep thriving. From working with former President Obama to becoming ASM at Starbucks to now owning my brand; I’ve always kept moving. Now, at 28, I can say I’m more than outgoing, loving and blunt. I am a queen that refuses to drop her crown in any circumstance; I will only adjust it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t. The beginning of entrepreneurship is so scary and difficult. For me, it was the fear of what my elders may say. Then how was I going to work on my business and a job. Now, I’m battling cervical cancer for a second time, though it’s difficult the beauty is; I’m still moving. No matter what, still move.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a sexologist, not really but that’s what we’re calling it. After battling Cervical cancer (which is now back but I’m fighting) and being diagnosed with PCOS, I wanted to explore my body more, I wanted to get to know me more. So, after a long conversation with two of my bestfriends, motivation from a cousin and a few tearful prayers, the idea for A Goddess Touch LLC was born. I wanted this company to be different, so I learned how to create healthy and natural lubricants and body butters. I also, teach sex education but for adults. I make it comfortable to talk about sex, body types and the anatomy of it.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
There is a book coming out titled “No One Ever Listens To Me by Toré Kelley that is going to be really dope. But seriously, I don’t use any apps or anything. I pray, meditate and surround myself with like-minded people.
