Hi Brittany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am a businesswoman, fiancé, mother, sister and daughter who loves to gift of giving to the people around me. I am creating a legacy for my children to spread more positivity and love around the world. I created a business that shared my passion of creating art and making gifts to be able to give back and also create a one of a kind business. My love for arts and crafts started with my mother. She was into interior design and loved to plan a great party and decorate. I can recall going to the craft stores every Sunday with her to just pick up items to create random things to keep around our house or make gifts to give to those she loved. Since her passing in 2015, my mission was to honor her and continue to spread the love that we both have of making personal gifts that made customers smile. It still feels like I’m living in a dream because I’ve made my dream a reality and it is thriving.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business is exciting and sometimes a bumpy road but the passion behind what we do is what makes it all worthwhile. Our products aren’t mass-produced in a warehouse, so they all require personal details and handmade work. This occasionally presents a fair share of challenges based on the theme that is being requested however the most rewarding part is when customers are able to trust in our vision and we deliver on an order that comes out better than their expectations. It is all worth the endless hours of research, inventory searches and time to actually make the orders and package them.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TBella Crates LLC started in January of 2021. We create handmade crafted wood crates and baskets filled with assorted items for all life events. The start of our company was inspired by our love of handmade gifts. There is nothing like receiving a gift from a family member, friend or loved one with all of the things that you love. The idea is to twist the traditional idea of what a “gift” is and offer a product that is unique. We offer a variety of sizes, colors and themes of our gift crates. Each season that comes and goes we use current trends along with our custom order requests to make out of this world products. No two orders are the same. (Unless they are requested as duplicates). This allows us to be completely free to create products that are truly one of a kind. Dedication and a pure love for the creative process of making our orders is how we got to where we are today. It has officially been a year since our launch and we have been able to reach more customers, create our own eStore and have had satisfactory reviews with returning customers. The fact that we create gifts for all life events, it gives us the opportunity to be as creative as we want and over the top because there are so many reasons to celebrate in life. From some of the bigger celebrations like a baby shower, graduating from school and buying a new home all the way down to the simpler celebrations like giving a gift to your child’s favorite teacher, giving a gift to someone filled with crystals and gems that are on a spiritual journey to better themselves or giving a gift to your Nana and Pop Pop for international grandparents day. There is nothing that we cannot create a gift for.
Any big plans?
Our plans in the future include expanding our gifts and services to more customers worldwide. Our eStore has already started off great and we would like to continue making and adding products that our customers would want to see and buy. Eventually, the goal is to open a store so that orders can be picked up same day and given to the recipient. As of now, our orders can locally be delivered within seven business days if they reside in Dade and Broward County. IF not, the orders are shipped for free to all domestic states. Having a store would allow for our locals and tourists to browse our inventory and shop seven days a week.
