The story behind the creation of Milky Ways Cereal Bar came about when Chelsea Hernandez and Kevin Cossio decided to do something different in the dessert world. With hard work and dedication, we were able to create and maintain the business, provide excellent service, and keep our customers happy. In our eyes, that’s the key to a successful business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There is no such thing as a smooth road in business. When building a business, you need to be driven, motivated, confident, and most of all, patient. Bringing a new concept to Miami can be a little challenging because we needed to build that new clientele and deal with a whole lot of competition in the dessert industry. The biggest challenge we’ve dealt with is Covid-19. After being open for just six months, the pandemic was starting. Even though we were going through rough times, we stayed dedicated and committed to our original plan. With that being said, never give up on your dreams and always continue to work hard!

Milky Ways Cereal Bar is Miami’s one and only cereal bar. Blending ice cream and cereal to make a delicious, mouth-watering treat has been our specialty since June of 2019. We value ourselves on making our community come together by sharing a similar interest: the perfect dessert.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
The best advice I can give to anyone starting is to be prepared for what’s coming. Running a successful business is much more difficult than it seems. Just keep in mind that nothing will ever be easy. So if you’re doing what you love, then all of the hard work will be worth it at the end.
