Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Romine.

Hi Megan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am originally from one of the most rural areas in West Virginia- I grew up surrounded by a tight knit community that treated everyone like family. I moved to South Florida almost a decade ago to fulfill my dream of a career in real estate and a life full of purpose with adventure and giving back to others. I have been in the industry for over 12 years; from managing properties and portfolios in West Virginia to becoming a top producing agent and owner of Luxuré Real Estate in South Florida. We created the focal point of our services to provide clients with an elevated real estate experience with first class services that is committed to top tiered results. Our team provides consistency and marketing innovation, along with fully customized programs for each of our buyers and sellers as the recipe for winning in the ultra competitive market of high-end real estate.

Real Estate provided a way of creating my own path in life. I was inspired by the South Florida lifestyle & my passion for the ocean. I found that by branding myself as ‘The Mermaid Realtor’, I was able to attract waterfront clients who also loved the water along with the South Florida lifestyle- fishing, diving, and boating. My dreams come true every morning when I wake up to all of the opportunity that South Florida has provided for myself and my team. My bigger picture and purpose is encouraging others to always do better in life and help others. I am a believer in helping our local community through fundraisers and local events that make our city better each step along the way. Real Estate has provided the opportunity to always put my best foot forward while giving back to others and our community.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Any path to success and reaching goals is never a smooth process. I think it is important that we don’t view failure as an end-all or a setback but rather a catalyst to overcoming objections and becoming better at our own craft.

Embracing change and moving forward has been the only way that I’ve known in life. Moving past fear and taking accountability vs. allowing excuses to set in will set you up for success. Taking risks and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone allows you to build up your risk muscle- more often than not, risk will gift you with rewards. The risk muscle mindset is a trainable and tangible asset. Am also a firm believer that there is no replacement for your integrity, character and hard work. There is no such thing as an overnight success or large accomplishment without setbacks, trials and tribulation. You must understand that motivation is like a sunburn that wears off; many people will give up when motivation weans and obstacles come up. I believe that training our mindset and pushing yourself to keep moving forward regardless of the situation- especially when we don’t feel like it or want to give up – it is only after those impediments that we experience real growth in our personal and professional lives.

When we list a home, we aren’t simply putting up a for sale sign and putting the listing on the MLS.
