Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Ramirez.
Hi Daniela, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I go as Nany in the WWW. I started blogging in 2009 when I was a college student because, at the time, I thought I could use it as a portfolio when I started applying for jobs.
This was way before Instagram, Twitter was still new and the world influencer was not even a thing. , So yes, I first started in fashion, sharing my daily outfits to college and adventures with my then boyfriend, now husband.
Then I dipped into beauty as it goes hand in hand with fashion. Later on, as I graduated and started working as a content creator/influencer, we started traveling a lot. It inspired me content-wise.
In 2017, I found out I was pregnant. It was always my goal to stay true to myself, to continue doing things I loved…now with kids.
In 2018, my first son Nico was born. And four months ago, I had my second boy, Leo.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In 2008, my main obstacle was explaining people what I was doing and why. Most close family members and friends doubted me.
In 2012, the main obstacle was proving to brands that there was value in digital partnerships. Many did not want to pay content creators or did not value our work.
In 2018, it was balancing my personal life as a new mom and my online work.
In 2020, the biggest challenge was rebranding myself and I started creating content at home- like styling videos.
In 2021, I’m still getting the hang of life as a mom of two and staying true to my brand online.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I do partnerships with brands to create awareness and increase sales.
I’ve worked with brands like Nordstrom, Amazon, Hair Food, Airbnb, DSW, and many more.
I also create content for brands that is not necessarily published on my social media.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Fashion styling, photography, copywriter, marketing, editing, video skills, and more.
