Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Nelson.
Hi Christine, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Everyone goes through trials and tribulations in life, it’s normal. What makes us different individually is how we respond. I have conquered a lot in life and I strive to be the best me daily and what I use to relieve stress is I workout and I worship. I destress with God. God showed me that he wants me to use these exact two things for his glory and help others know that there is a healthy way to relieve stress. Our goal is to help you spiritually, physically & emotionally. All three have to be aligned to be effective in your daily lives. I’m honored that he chose me to be a vehicle for others as a safe haven for them to come to workout, let go of strongholds and come and get renewed in his presence. We are a Christian gym and we play music from praise & worship to Christian rap to island. Who says you can’t love God and have fun.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road at all, but nothing worth having comes easy. You have to write your vision, make it plain, give it to God, Work hard and have faith. I always say do your part & let God do the rest. You have to be able to stand on the word not knowing where the next dollar is coming, how you going to pay rent, and if a client will even show up for the vision you have. BUT GOD. You smile through the pain, know that this is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice in him & when you running low on gas, you tell him, Lord I am doing your will to glorify your name and I know you will never leave me nor forsake me. You told me to cast my burdens unto you because you care for me and know he will help you. It is not easy at all and you don’t get all your wants met right away but he will supply all your needs.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I believe to be a successful person, you must have multiple streams of income & you must love what you do. I have started out as a realtor as I still do full time and enjoy helping people find their new home that branch has allowed me to become a property manager, a notary which I also do mobile closings. That is my career that helps me fund my ministry on what I am passionate on which is helping the youth know their worth. Workout n worship is to help you destress with God, once you have renewed your spirit in all areas we want you to be able to embrace the skin you are in with our clothing line the Jesus brand called Dekoré. We believe you must give back to the community so we have a non-profit called Destined For Greatness Foundation where we strive to encourage the youth in helping year-round in mentoring, holiday drives, business grants, and college scholarships. I am known to have a giving and loving heart and always help to see you become the best you!
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Being selfless has played a big role in my personal life & business. I don’t believe in luck; I believe in God’s plan & favor and blessings. You do the work physically & spiritually and you will get what you deserve, Being selfless sometimes may hurt because you are caring for others more than yourself but there is always a bigger reward when you have blessed someone who is in need. You just have to find the balance of not losing who you are when you helping others.
