Meet Georgina Quinn of Decoding Weight Loss

Today we’d like to introduce you to Georgina Quinn.

Hi Georgina, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My dilemma with weight gain began when I was 25 years old and was diagnosed with a Pituitary Adenoma (brain tumor), Hypothyroidism, and Hashimoto’s disease. I went from 123 lbs. to 180 lbs. in one year. From there, I fluctuated with my weight and felt as I could never stop the dieting rollercoaster. I would go on a diet, willpower my way through it to then sabotage and regain (plus) the weight. It felt like an endless circle of frustration, confusion, and disappointment.

Even though this went on for 15 years, something inside me kept seeking answers that would take me to not only weight loss but lasting maintenance. I vowed to myself that once I found the blueprint, I would never be on a diet again.

About four years ago, I started my Coaching Certification to become a Life Coach and part of that certification included a Weight Loss curriculum. At the time, I had no interest in becoming a Weight Loss Coach but I was excited to use the tools and knowledge for myself. Lo and behold, I started consistently dropping weight, feeling more energy, and somehow accessing more mental clarity.

As the weight kept coming off, people took notice and asked me to help them achieve the same dramatic and consistent results. That was the beginning of my company, Decoding Weight Loss, and my program The Decoding Method. I now help many others get out of the weight struggles and find their weight loss blueprint that works for a lifetime.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I had many struggles on my weight loss journey. I remember being as young as 15 years old and feeling like I was never skinny enough when I compared myself to other women. I struggled with non sustainable and sometimes harmful diets and pills which ended up causing havoc in my body. The biggest obstacle of course was dealing will illness at 25 and yoyo dieting until I finally got the answers that lead me to where I am today.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Decoding Weight Loss?
Decoding Weight Loss is the opposite of dieting and using willpower. It deals with weight loss on a whole new level. I created The Decoding Method program which is three pillars, the first one helps retrain the brain to unlearn the old habits and belief systems that created the weight gain in the first place. Second, I help balance hormones naturally so that the body starts going after its own stored fat and using it for fuel. The third pillar is getting deeper with coaching tools in order to process the emotional component (that we all have) around food. After the program is over the individual has all the tools along with a blueprint for maintenance.

I’m extremely proud to say that The Decoding Method has not only helped many reach their goals and maintain weight loss but also changed all areas of their lives. The meta-skills I teach change people at the core, the weight loss is an added (and much welcomed) bonus!

Working with me is simple, I provide a 30-minute FREE assessment of where you are now and how I can help you get to your ideal goal weight. There are no strings attached from there but if the individual wants to continue working with me, then there are two simple ways to start: A curated 12 -week one-on-one program (1 hour via zoom per week) or a 12-week group program (1 hour via zoom per week).

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about the Broward area is the mix of cultures and vibrant, exciting energy. I also have a home in the mountains near Asheville and love to come here for nature and calm.
