Life & Work with Jenaae Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenaae Jackson.

Hi Jenaae, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Since I was a child, I’ve always been interested in entrepreneurship.

I remember in elementary school, during the hot summer months when school was out, I would make jugs and jogs of Kool-Aid in all the different colors and flavors. I would freeze my sweet concoctions overnight in small plastic cups and sell them to the local kids in the neighborhood.

In middle school, I’d press my mother to take me to Bj’s Wholesale Club after school each Friday so that I could buy those huge boxes of varied chips and candy to sell in the bathroom at lunch break.

As I got older, my interest in Entrepreneurship never wavered. I started (and failed at) so many businesses and side hustles.

I hosted parties, I sold bikinis, and in about 2014 I started freelancing as a destination wedding photographer.

I photographed countless weddings from Key West, Florida to San Francisco, California. My wedding photography business would grow to be very successful. This was the venture that really taught me about running a real business — how to market to get interested potential customers, how to sell my value to those potential customers, and finally, how to be accountable and deliver massive value to my customers.

From this experience, I became passionate about business, sales, and marketing. I developed a deep desire to help other Entrepreneurs reach their own success.

From this experience, I also developed a desire to learn how to make money online, how to create passive income, and how to create financial independence for myself. Thereafter, Hello Bombshell and Bombshell Entrepreneur were born.

Today I run the lifestyle blog Hello Bombshell where I blog about a myriad of lifestyle topics that bring me joy. I also run Bombshell Entrepreneur, a platform created to help women learn how to start, grow, and scale a profitable business from scratch.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road that has led me to where I am today certainly has not at all been smooth.

One of the struggles I faced along the way was learning how to be productive. How to be efficient. And how to get things done. It’s not enough to have big dreams and ideas. What really counts is execution.

I have learned that to be successful as an entrepreneur, one has to learn how to master thyself. Learning skills such as time management, consistency, delegation, the art of “progress not perfection”, has been absolutely game-changing for me.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Lifestyle Blogger and Professional Digital Marketer. I am equal parts creative and analyst. Equal parts purpose and analytics.

Hello Bombshell is a style, lifestyle, and personal development space for women. The blog strives to inspire and empower women to develop the best version of themselves and curate an extraordinary life — including cultivating personal appearance, mind, and lifestyle. Through the blog, videos, and community our mission is to empower women on their own unique life journeys.

Bombshell Entrepreneur is an umbrella that provides resources, courses, workshops, and more that help women (and men too) start, grow, and scale profitable businesses online.

I am proud that my work helps to incite new ideas and perspectives. I’m proud that my work, for example, helps people who never imagined that they could start a business realize that they actually can. I’m proud that my work helps entrepreneurs and creatives who may be struggling with the online or digital marketing aspect of their businesses get the clarity they need to grow their businesses and make more money. To have such an impact, I’m grateful.

With regards to Bombshell Entrepreneur, what sets me apart from others is my simplified approach. Having gone through the trenches of growing a business from scratch myself, I understand how overwhelming all of the moving parts can be for an entrepreneur. I take pride in being able to simply digital marketing in an easy-to-understand manner that business owners can take massive value from.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I can’t say whether or not luck has played a role in my life and business. I certainly can’t say whether said luck has been good or bad.

In life and business alike, things we perceive as good happen. Likewise, things we perceive as bad happen. If there’s such a thing as luck, I think it’s ultimately how we perceive it and most importantly what we make of it.
