Exploring Life & Business with Carolyn Arthur of Csocial Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolyn Arthur.

Hi Carolyn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Throughout my whole life, I have always been a uniquely creative and curious individual. When I got into college, I had to pick a major to focus on. I knew I wanted to go into business, but I wanted to pick a business major that would foster my creativity and allow it to flourish. That is why I chose marketing! I love marketing because I can take research and turn it into creative ideas. My first real marketing job was with a Miami business, Candle Land Miami. This job taught me the importance of using social media marketing to promote a business. I held other marketing internships and jobs where I was able to gain even more experience to apply to my work. I grew my portfolio, made wonderful connections, and eventually worked my way to becoming a freelancer. I now have a business of my own where I provide social media management, creative marketing, and content creations for small-medium businesses in Miami and Boston.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road that I have been on has been a smooth road, with a few bumps along the way. The marketing experience I’ve had at such a young age has been so valuable. I have learned so much during my years in college and am continuing to learn something new every day. Being a full-time student has caused me to struggle a bit. It was difficult at the beginning to figure out how to delegate my time. I was taking classes while wanting to focus all of my attention on my work. As a senior in college, it can be tricky to run a business. My course load is hard and my days are extra long. As difficult as some days may feel, I am still very grateful for the opportunities I have had thus far. Senior year is awesome, but I am so ready to work full-time!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Csocial Media?
I am the founder of a social media marketing agency called CSocial. Our mission is to help small-medium-sized businesses with marketing, specifically in the world of social media. We do this by offering a variety of services including social media management, content creation, graphic design, and marketing plans. With CSocial, you can select using one service, combine multiple, or use them all! We fully adapt to what is best for your business. We understand that for smaller businesses, there are budget constraints, lack of time, or lack of knowledge for marketing. We want to be adaptable, affordable, and flexible so that you can focus on your business and let us handle the marketing. This is what sets us apart from other agencies. I am most proud of the dedication and care we put into our work and the relationships we have with our clients. Every business is so different, yet they all matter so much!

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe that my go-getter attitude and work ethic have been most important for my success. I am never afraid to go after what I want. I am outgoing and super friendly, so networking and making connections comes naturally to me. This has contributed a lot to my success. Any opportunity I see to gain more knowledge or experience, I take. I work hard to maintain a business while also being a full-time student. Without a strong work ethic, I do not believe it would have been possible.
