Today we’d like to introduce you to Erika Boom.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Belly&kicks is a prenatal and postnatal personal training studio in Miami. We developed our own training methodology using principles from ACE and OBGYN, and the idea was born out of my own need to know what to do to keep in shape when I was pregnant.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Not at all! It all started more than 10 years ago and as any new business, there’s many challenges that you face specially being a woman. Just to name a few:
– being able to float financially
– creating a product/service that adds value and is timeless
– making the right local connections
– constantly reinventing itself and create value out of adversity

The only prenatal and postnatal studio in the Miami Area. We opened our doors more than 11 years ago. Fully owned and operated by woman and moms. All our trainers are certified and insured. We developed our own training methodology and all our trainers are certified by Belly&Kicks.
What were you like growing up?
Funny girl, excellent student, always inclined to sports. Loved arts and inclined to aesthetically pleasant surroundings.

- $95 per session in a 4 session package
- $90 per session in a 8 session package
- $85 per session in a 16 session package
- $80 per session in a 24 session package
