Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyesha S.
Hi Tyesha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in the beauty industry because my mother is a hairstylist and my father is a barber. I’ve always been surrounded by beauty so naturally when I got older that is what I wanted to do. I went to beauty school to become an Esthetician and then later on, I decided to venture off and do body sculpting after getting the services done on myself. I fell in love with the craft and the idea of transforming my body in a healthy way. It helped me a lot in a time in my life where my self-esteem was low after having my first child so I figured I can learn the skills of body sculpting and help other women transform their bodies and feel more confident in themselves. I also always wanted to incorporate health in whatever business venture I decided to do so that is where my waist trainers came in, I always had a hard time finding a comfortable waist trainer to wear while I worked out so I set out to create my own and I finally created a product with my vendor that helps in the process of making women and sometimes men feel their most confident. Overall I LOVE to make people feel comfortable, sexy and healthy!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road definitely has not been smooth. Between building a clientele, looking for vendors and trying to get my business out there, it has been really hard. As a young black entrepreneur, I do everything myself, the social media, branding, logos, websites, shipping, etc. Despite the struggles, I still continue to press on because this is my dream and nothing in life comes easy.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an Esthetician and I specialize in body sculpting, wood therapy, makeup and facials. As I stated before, I grew up around beauty, I literally watched my mom style hair for as long as I can remember so I am a jack of all beauty trades. I am mostly known for my body sculpting services and my high-quality waist trainers. I am most proud of actually pushing through with my dreams and watching it come to life. Everything that I am doing now was just a thought and to see myself actually doing it makes me proud and want to continue to pursue all my dreams. My clients always come back for more services and products because I am relatable and I make them feel comfortable and I think that is what sets me apart from others.
What does success mean to you?
Success to me means growth. Growing my clientele, expanding my business and creating generational wealth. Setting goals and reaching them, even surpassing them, that is how I define success.
