Today we’d like to introduce you to Anastasia Enikeeva.
Hi Anastasia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got my start working in various companies as a Marketing and PR manager for over ten years. In 2013, my friend asked me to create a website for her business. That’s when I discovered the Wix platform — a drag and drop website builder. Wix gave me the opportunity to easily construct a website using my marketing knowledge and passion for design. I really enjoyed the entire process of creation. My first website was a huge hit and I started getting design requests from friends and acquaintances alike. I was doing it for free simply because I loved building websites. It became my hobby. One step at a time, I learned graphic design, developed search engine optimization skills, earned a social media marketing certificate. I was continuously learning. My previous marketing experience gave me a deeper understanding of impactful website development, adding another tool to my belt. At the time, I was getting my MBA at Nova Southeastern University, which offered a deep well of inspiration to conduct marketing research and create growth strategies for the brands I was working with. And that sparked my interest in startups and small businesses — areas that are challenging yet incredibly rewarding.
Once I had developed more than ten websites, Wix featured me in their Marketplace and upgraded me to “Wix expert” status. That’s how I started getting requests to build websites and as a result, my Effective Marketing & Design business was born. Now, we offer many more services beyond website design, with a team of people working all over the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a smooth road so far, all things considered. The only struggle was at the beginning when I handled all the orders myself. For example, I served one client for website design and a social media advertising campaign and another client for branding and Google ads. It was hard to perform so many different tasks at the same time on my own. I had to learn how to multitask and constantly upgrade my skills. But that was a worthwhile challenge that bolstered my professional experience and fortitude.

Effective Marketing & Design is a Miami-based website design studio offering small business website design, branding, and promotion. We conduct market research and create unique designs to deliver high conversion and a fantastic user experience. We primarily work with the Wix platform as it provides incredible flexibility for design and functionality. My in-depth knowledge of the platform has earned me the honor of official Wix expert. Most of our clients are startups, small and growing businesses that usually need to begin with branding. Sometimes, we even help clients come up with a business name based on dedicated research and brainstorming. We create digital solutions for businesses based on the belief that the best solutions are simple, effective and a little unusual. We help our clients attract customers from around the Internet by increasing brand awareness. To do this, we create websites with a fresh design and a well-thought-out structure.

How do you think about happiness?
I believe that happiness lies in a moment. In my professional field, I experience countless happy moments: making my client happy, achieving their first online sale, or receiving the first report that reflects successful online sales. These are all particularly joyful moments in my business life. Every piece of positive feedback makes me so happy that I feel it’s the best reward I can receive.
