Inspiring Conversations with Adina Brunetti of AB 27 Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adina Brunetti.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Since childhood, I have had a craving for beautiful food and everything that is connected with it. Always imagined how restaurants could be lovely, tasty, fun, creating a new vision for each hospitality business I’ve visited.

When I founded AB 27 Group, we started getting clients from the hospitality industry, and I finally felt the opportunity for self-realization in the restaurant business. And, of course, my marketing and business development expertise made it easier to think of creative ways to do it. Probably, after all, a hobby and pleasure from the process associated with food and creativity, rather than business opportunities, is something that triggered me. Business came later. When I got my first restaurant project for brand development, I immediately dived in with my head and had the greatest joy. One after another, we at AB 27 Group started getting more leads, more clients. Restaurateurs were recommending us. We were getting calls just by word of mouth.

Eventually, branding and business development for hospitality got a big demand. I had to gather a team of experts in the restaurant industry and lunch a separate project – Adina Creative Food. This year I published two books about the hospitality business.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, it was challenging to start a new project while still running a big business and being responsible for million-dollar marketing budgets. But, as I have said more than once, the decision turned out to be fateful. The ability to think strategically and multitask helped me balance the established business and the startup.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about AB 27 Group that includes Adina Creative Food project and more.
My books are “Your Restaurant: Creation, Transformation, and Promotion” and “Your Restaurant: Exceptional Customer Value”.

I see my mission in helping startups to achieve success and to open new establishments with novel products. I’ve been doing this professionally for a long time, creating new concepts and helping to develop technological processes and specialized equipment. I put all of my experience into well-structured projects, which are then followed by creative work. It’s so satisfying to observe when the construction is completed, replaced by the chefs, with whom we revitalize the premises, equipment, production … We build technological processes, polish the organization, develop the technology for preparing new dishes, and introduce innovative approaches.

So, my main focus is consulting startup restaurant businesses and helping those that have to be revived. I had so much experience to share with the restaurateurs that I decided to share it in a book. That’s how my first book, “Your Restaurant: Creation, Transformation, and Promotion,” was published. I describe the process of opening and marketing a restaurant business. It is now available for free PDF or audio download on my website. My book doesn’t claim to be a comprehensive analysis of marketing activities. I forewent repeating for the hundredth time what has already been established in classic books on marketing and publications devoted to restaurant management problems. Instead, I’ve tried to summarize the most relevant and essential experience of practical marketing work related to the restaurant business as I see it.

The second book, “Your Restaurant: Exceptional Customer Value,” offers to dive deeper into the basics of the hospitality business. I believe many entrepreneurs underestimate the value of happy customers, or they don’t know how to get to the point of exceptional customer service.

The other project that must be interesting to your readers is the new food court opening soon in Hialeah Park. Here’s what to expect at the mega food hall coming to Hialeah. Firstly, it is a family and kids-friendly atmosphere. Music-loving people can enjoy occasional guest DJs and live performances, dance, and fun. The concept of the food court will be really unique for Miami. It is a fun place offering kids various games, funny characters, and a kids menu.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is an achieved goal. If I have to define success in my industry, I would say that success exceeds customers’ expectations. And that can be applied not only to hospitality but to any business. That is why I published my book “Your Restaurant: Exceptional Customer Value,” describing how to achieve that level. Because I see success in a customer review, client loyalty, and retention.
