Inspiring Conversations with Dayne & Christina Moore of Moore Fire Grill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dayne & Christina Moore.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Thank you for giving us this opportunity, we are truly honored to be able to share our story. Collectively we have over 30 years of culinary and hospitality management experience. We also have worked with Chef Emeril Lagasse in Miami Beach and at other well known hotels & food service establishments throughout south Florida. Due to the pandemic we were both left furloughed and ultimately laid off leaving us with no choice but to find a way to continue our career & provide for our family on our own. We brought to life a concept once dormant due of our busy work/life schedule and finally established what is now Moore Fire Grill. We have always dreamed of opening up our own restaurant and decided now is the time to take the leap of faith despite being in a pandemic.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Some of the struggles we have had were operating out of a shared kitchen space with limited equipment usage & storage space which hindered our ability to produce a full menu as we planned. Financing was another barrier, we were both laid off from our full time jobs due to covid & had to strategize with our savings & family since we were unable to qualify for traditional loans despite veteran status. The smoothest part of our journey was creating and producing our menu. Being chef’s we were able to modify production and adapt to various challenges we faced and created a quick service curbside pick-up & delivery menu while providing fresh food made to order.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Moore Fire Grill?
We’ve created a menu of based in southern comfort foods and incorporated our love for BBQ & Cajun Cuisine. We are known for our Baby Back Ribs, Cajun Salmon, Mac & Cheese & our Honey Whiskey Baked Beans. We are proud of our ingenuity, Chef Dayne’s creations sparks excitement that inspires others an authentic appreciation for delicious food. We are grassroots, family owned and operated, trained chefs sharing our passion & appreciation for quality food with realistic prices for all to enjoy.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Like many chefs there are quite a few qualities we can attribute to our success. Our passion, creativity and commitment to providing a memorable food experience are on the top of our list. Chef Dayne’s attention to detail compares to none when layering flavors and creating dishes for our guest to enjoy. We take pride in our ability to think outside of the box while still staying true to the familiarity of a dish, it’s just that little touch of creativity that makes it a special.
