Check Out Jennifer Radnay’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Radnay.

Hi Jennifer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My own personal Births were always a mixed source of pride and empowerment but also so deeply transformative and spiritual that it really took me years to process. As I grew myself from maiden to motherhood, with all the challenges that raising children brought, the ‘profound feeling’ of capability and inner guidance I had accessed while birthing my children was something I kept going back to. It filled me & my proverbial cup with a knowing I was guided and could trust my maternal instincts. As the whirlwind of toddlers then teenagers (Yup! It seemed to boom happen all at once.) seemed to slow down & I had the time to princess motherhood and what it meant to me, I was infatuated with going back to the primal beginnings that had transformed me. I sought out answers to put into words what I had experienced and others who had also experienced a profoundly empowering transformation at birth.

That journey of self-discovery brought me to my calling of Birthwork.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Motherhood is not a smooth road and this journey reflects that LOL For me it came from a deeply maternal and divinely feminine root. All I could see for myself was this romantic fantasy of holding space in the eternal space in between sources & bring forward life.

While in reality, I sat on my sofa opening an LLC, studying, reading and researching. It seemed there was an endless amount of business coaching, learning social media marketing & networking I had to do as a Mompreneur that I had overlooked needed to be done before I could even reach my clients!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a holistic doula. I specialize in guiding women from maiden to motherhood. From preconception to postpartum I provide evidence-based education, emotional support and guide them thru a combination of yoga/meditation and transformational coaching to tap into their divine maternal instincts and become the highest version of themselves. I have supported families in all kinds of Births- hospitals, water births, home births, planned c sections, birth centers, with a partner, without a partner but no matter how one’s birth unfolds, my families were supported unconditionally, without any judgment. I strongly believe that a maternal lead birth empowers one to continue tapping into & trusting their own intuition. There is no perfect way to birth, no perfect mother. We need to let that pressure go & embrace that we are enough and perfect as we are. Life is an ongoing learning experience and just as a baby grows and learns so does is the process of parenthood!

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I Definitely took a risk as a single mother myself to professionally step into a new career at 40 years old! It was the opposite of a stable, reliable 9-5. This is an on-call, drop everything at any moment, sleepless nights, give my heart & soul to others. I never doubted I had an endless source of love and passion for this career. It just challenged me personally as an independent business owner with so much unpredictability.
