Hi Joyce, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Sure thing. I am an author, speaker and life coach helping millennials get ahead in life. The life we live is the legacy we leave behind. I believe that we should first liberate our lives and elevate our existence. We rise by creating a prosperity plan.
In 2015 I was at the lowest point in my life. 3 Foreclosures, lost two long-term friendships and went through a devastating divorce. I was down and distraught but knew I couldn’t stay there. I know what it is to feel like a failure. Now I help people find personal freedom to move forward.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Sometimes telling my story brings feels like taking a band-aid off a wound that won’t heal. But I know my story must be told to connect and help others on their journey. I encourage others to get a really big goal and break it down into small bite size pieces. When challenges and obstacles show up- revisit the big picture. Then it’s time to decide- do you climb over the obstacle, break it down or get help.

The Simply Happy Society is a lifestyle brand. We believe you should be grateful for what you have and go after what you want. Our mission is to help millennials prosper in life without feeling overwhelmed or overthinking the process. We are excited to expand our services to now include credit repair, first-time homeownership assistance and financial planning.
To get ahead in life there should be clarity, accountability and community. We host a monthly mastermind call, have power hour sessions and elevation coaching. Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Advice for someone who has a message to share- just get out there and be authentic. Share your story. Aim to reach one person. The another. Starting out, I wish I knew more about marketing and branding. Even though you are passionate about helping others doesn’t mean it will just happen. Your business and brand goes beyond family and friends. There are people out there that have never met you that need what you offer. Be bold. Be present. Make an impact.
